In a gesture of support for Animal Rescue Tablelands, Inc. (ART), ChewProof is delighted to announce a partnership that’s set to make tails wag and hearts swell.
Recently, ChewProof donated four of their indestructible dog beds to ART. The beds will be used to jumpstart ART’s retail efforts and help raise funds for the rescue group. With this, dog lovers, rescue advocates, and customers alike will have the opportunity to contribute to ART’s mission to ensure that no dog is left behind.
The community’s support will allow ART to continue its vital mission of rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for puppies and dogs who have endured neglect, abuse, or come from puppy farms.
The Heart Behind the ART
ART stands as a testament to the power of love, compassion, and community support.
At its core, it is a privately run, volunteer-based group with a profound commitment to being a NO KILL rescue organisation. They believe that every animal, regardless of its past, deserves a bright and loving future.
ART is a non-profit registered charity, driven by their unwavering mission to save lives.
They do not receive any government or council funding. Instead, they rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of individuals who share their passion for making the world a better place for animals.
Why Your Support Matters
ART goes above and beyond to provide support and assistance to various groups within the community.
They work closely with the Atherton Women’s Shelter, offering affordable pet boarding to ensure that pets are there for those who need them most during difficult times. This gesture helps individuals heal emotionally more quickly, knowing they haven’t lost their cherished family member.
Additionally, ART collaborates with social workers from Mareeba and Atherton hospitals to offer discounted pet boarding for the elderly when they require hospitalisation. This simple yet profound act ensures that the healing power of pets is always close at hand.
They also have “Last Litter Program,” where the owner surrenders a whole litter of pups and they de-sex the mum for free and return her to her family. ART will get all the vet work completed (de sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea & tick treated) on the whole litter and find furever families.
Raising Funds to Run the Rescue
As mentioned, they don’t receive any government funding. Sandy Brown, the owner of ART, listed several ways people can help.
She said “Our money comes in from both Financial and material donations, the sales from our Seconds Shop as everything is 100% donated, fundraising such as raffles, 100 boards which are $2 per number, and we have a new Money board which has 3 prizes as each number cost $10, our Calendars, Xmas cards sets & adoptions, which helps us maintain our rescues while they are in care with foster carer’s & vet bills.”
Sandy also highlighted the various ways the community can support their rescue group. These include liking their Facebook page, sharing their posts to raise awareness, participating in ART’s boarding services for the general public.
